Yes it's true, the largest Consumer Electronics Show is here. The show runs this week Jan 8th-11th in Las Vegas and I'm there, or is it here, covering the show floor and updating the blog daily with new product introductions, breaking news and much more including wrap up posts once the show has concluded. Wow, a week without the Internet (and blogs), I never
thought I could do it! While I did take my laptop and Treo650 along on our family vacation to Oregon, they didn't get much use at all. I just needed a break and I got one.
The downside is coming back and opening Bloglines only to find about 5000 blog posts that I've missed! Well it took me almost all of the day but I got through them! No, I admit I didn't read all 5000+ posts but I did skim them and marked the ones I want to read later including several news bits about HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disk so I'll be posting about them soon. There's also several product reviews and new product announcements so look out, this may be a marathon blogging week for me!
Finally! After many months, about 6 to be exact, my main web site, Wired@Home.com, has relaunched sporting a brand new design that I feel the Audio/Video community is going to really appreciate. This was my first official web site launched back in 1998...Wow that sure seems like ancient history. The site has went through many transformations over the years but none as drastic as the new design. Instead of just posting the usual stale links, product reviews, news, articles, etc from around the web, I decided that you deserved much more. We've put RSS to work and Wired@Home.com has become a content aggregator for all the latest HDTV, Audio, Video, Home Theater, Connected Home, Home Office Car Audio/Video, Portable Gadgets, Movies & Entertainment news, product reviews, informative & timely articles, DIY projects, buying guides, comparison shopping, links and you name it, if it's fun it's there!
The site is very easy to navigate. As a matter of fact, I really wanted to add all sorts of fancy graphics, high tech looking buttons and other neat stuff but after many internal battles, I thought it was best to stick with a basic layout that would not only be easy to navigate, but engaging at each click. With so much information at your fingertips, or the click of your mouse, you'll be amazed at how quickly you can forget all about the time. You'll be researching that HDTV for the big game, looking for your next DIY project and keeping up with the latest industry news all on one web site. Just think, each time you visit, the content will be updated, even if you return just minutes later!
My goal is to become a one-stop SuperSite for all of your Audio, Video, Home Theater & HDTV Information & Entertainment related searches so please, feel free to use the site and visit often because you never know what you'll learn next!
